FIRST VISIT

WELCOME TO THE TREEHOUSE

The TreeHouse is a long awaited dream fulfilled for both co-owners of BoulderHouse, Rob Somogyi and Jean-Marc De la Plante. Both climbers with families of their own, they hope to share their passion for the sport with the next generation.

Whether you're looking to get your child's climbing journey started, or you're looking for more things for your child to climb - the TreeHouse has something for everyone.

PROBLEM SOLVING

Beyond it's physical nature, bouldering presents a problem solving compenent as well that is a great opportunity for children to challenge themselves.

We set boulders using specific colours of climbing holds to differentiate the different 'boulders' on the wall. In order to get to the top of the climb, you must solve the sequence of moves you will need to execute!

A third of the wall is refreshed with new climbs in the TreeHouse on MONDAY, keeping the boulders new and exciting every time!

CIRCUITS

Like the rest of BoulderHouse, the TreeHouse is designed with the same colour coded climbing circuits in mind.

These circuits include 5-6 problems that are carefully crafted each week for young climbers with a varied set of challenges from technical and balanced climbing to powerful overhanging climbs that put your finger strength to the test.

By progressing through each complete circuit, our vision is to help youth develop a well rounded set of skills!

SESSIONS

The best way to try out climbing and the TreeHouse!

To ensure a great experience - public climbing sessions are by timeslot and need to be booked in advance.

Sessions are an hour long and you will be responsible for your child/dependent at all times, but are also welcome to join the fun and climb with them! The staff will provide a brief introduction and instructions regarding the rules and safety regulations and then you will be left on your own with your child/dependent to climb. The staff will be available at all times to answer any questions or provide tips or advice with climbs!

Safety (and fun) are our number one priorities and we have a process to ensure that kids are ready to climb downstairs.

If it is your child’s first time at BoulderHouse Langford they will have to demonstrate certain skills in the TreeHouse kids area before being accredited to climb downstairs.

Kids are encouraged to climb in the TreeHouse as the climbs have been designed specifically with kids in mind, down to the the same wall angles and technical progression!

If you have booked a public session, you will have to remain in the TreeHouse with your child/dependents at all times. However, you are welcome to join the fun and climb with your child! Just like the downstairs wall, there are a range in difficulties of climbs up in the TreeHouse
